Convention
Research:
Convention Research is just that. We have a team of highly motivated, trained professionals who attend
various conventions ranging from autos, baby, boats, electronics, garden, home improvement, medical, etc. and gather specific
data for our clients. An honorarium or small token is usually given.
Executive/Medical
Interviewing:
Executive/Medical interviewing is conducted with business people in corporations and medical institutions
of all sizes. Executive interviewing may be done with the owner or manager of a small business, the chairman or president
of a large company, or workers in various company departments. Medical interviewing is conducted with physicians, nurses,
hospital technicians or other members of the medical profession. Appointments for an interview are made by phone, at the convenience
of the respondent. The interview usually takes place at the business location itself, although some business people are invited
to the field service office or other interviewing area. An honorarium is customarily given for their time and consideration
Field Interviewing
or In-Store Intercepts:
This type of interviewing is done in the "field". This could be at grocery stores, drug stores,
malls, sporting events, convention centers - any place usually where there are a lot of people in one area for what ever reason.
There may be more than one interviewer conducting surveys at the same time. The interviewer conducting surveys at the same
time. The interviewer may be stationed in one spot or may be walking around to obtain the respondents opinion towards one
or more subjects. This type of interviewing waivers on honorarium, it's best to offer some type of token in appreciation.
Focus Group
Discussions:
Executive/Medical/Consumer interviewing is conducted with people of all walks of life, no matter sex, gender, ethinicity,
or economic means. Executive interviewing may be done with the owner or manager of a small business, the chariman or president
of a large company, or workers in various company departments.
Consumer interviewing is done typically at our office. Whether in
a large group or one on one. An honorarium is customarily given for their time and consideration
Mystery Shopping:
A
shopper is assigned to a particular restaurant, mass merchandise store, bank etc and are "undercover". They would take mental
notes on various items such as if the aisles were clear, if the bathroom(s) were unkept, if another register should have been
open, how professional or courteous the help was, etc. The shopper is usually asked to purchase something and they are in
turn reimbursed. The shopper never discloses that they are on assignment. After they leave the establishment they fill out
a rating sheet or a series of questions are answered. This helps the management identify problem situations or emplyees that
they need to improve on, thus increasing the chances of customer retention.
One on One
Interviews:
This interview type is when a respondent is by themselves. It is different from a focus group because
respondents do not talk to each other. Potential respondents are questioned about their qualification over the telephone.
Once they have been found to qualify, an appointment for the interview is set. The respondent who participates is given an
honorarium for the participation.
Recruiting:
We
could be calling from our database which is filled with names and numbers of people that anticipate research calls and want
to participate in our studies, or a client furnished list of names or by cold calling or asking for referrals.
Store Audits
or Distribution Checks:
A store audit is a physical count of specific items in a store at regular intervals so that
sales of the items to the consumer can be determined. A distribution check is the visual check of the store condition of specific
product(s). For example, where it is displayed on the shelf, what sections of the store and so on. Neither the store audit
nor the distribution check involves interviewing respondents so incentive or honorariums are not necessary.
Staffing
of Field Projects:
There are a variety of field projects that we have been asked to assist with. They include staffing
of car clinics, taste tests, preview movies, road rallies, exit interviewing, polling and more.
Telephone
Studies:
Potential respondents are contacted by telephone. The call may be local or long distance, depending on the
study design, The sample of telephone numbers usually come from the client. They will provide lists of names and numbes of
specific targeted respondents to be interviewed. The studies can be done blind or open. Conducting a market research interview
is unlike telemarketing in that no sales are ever involved. The interviewer is simply conducting a survey over the telephone.
This type of interveiwing also waivers on honorarium, it usually is a bonus if one can be offered.
